Today, page 56. Humour! Pathos! Cigarettes!

April has turned into a mensis horribilus, with nary a second to spare for the finer things, like Valdobbiadene Prosecco, now that we are finally having a few warm days. Many hours of late have been spent emailling and Excel-ling, and less time drawing, and preparations for my first show of 2008 continue apace.

Hearing that spring warblers are appearing on the north shores of the Great Lakes also makes some for holed-up-in-the-studio frisson, but, soon, I’ll be complaining about having to travel too much. No I can’t win– did I ever suggest otherwise?
