immonen illustrations

busy days

never as bad as you think

Things are hopping around Immonen House these days. Now that I’ve sacrificed to the PC gods for my new HDD, I’ve archived Nextwave; 8 Gb of pencil scans, inks, colour PDFs, scripts, sketches, 3D models, covers and miscellaneous emails. The groan of relief from my “Images” folder was audible.

Here’s a mishmash of links in lieu of something more in-depth:

If you awoke in a haze and missed my initial announcement on New Year’s Day, please take the opportunity to visit Comicus.it for the entire run of Never As Bad As You Think in Italian, updated daily.

A crazy, but brilliant Mickey Mouse, as interpreted by Japanese Lego artist Moko.

Zona Negativa, the Newsarama Blog and Comics Should Be Good take notice of my US-M sketches. Extra stuff at ZN, even if your Spanish is sub-par.

Check out Blissymbols– a non-verbal communication system, which works very much like comics.

Flickr photos of concept cars from the Detroit Auto Show.

I’ve implemented Akismet, so commenting should be free and easy now. No more waiting for moderation, and far less (I hope) spam. We’ll see how it goes.

And finally, K makes good.
